PI 10 abnormal program termination

After over a year of successfully using PI 10, it suddenly started giving
this error immediately upon launch:

Program: . . .\iedit.exe
abnormal program termination.

I first tried the Repair option on the installation disc, but it had no
effect. I then uninstalled and reinstalled, again with no effect. I then
reinstalled PI 6, which works fine. How can I get PI 10 working again?

Sounds like a conflict of some nature.
Try running it in safe mode, if that works reboot to normal mode, close down
most running apps and try it again.
If that works it is a matter of determining exactly which app it is which
does not like PI10.
Could also try doing a system restore [assuming you are using XP] to an
earlier date when it worked.
